The course, designed by Jerry Turner and Associates, initially featured bent grass greens in 1974, a rarity for the region at the time. It has since been upgraded to Sunday Ultra Dwarf greens, complemented by 419 Bermuda fairways. The layout offers five sets of tees, with the championship tees stretching to 7,008 yards. Although the course incorporates relatively few bunkers, it is notable for its 9 water hazards, which strategically enhance the visual challenge of both tee shots and approach shots.
